Description
This is the cleanser for skin that is actively breaking out. It uses salicylic acid to clear the pores and stop new spots forming, together with a purifying clay that lifts excess oil off the surface.
Where it differs from most acne washes is that it does not punish the skin. Niacinamide and ceramides are in the formula to keep the barrier calm, which is essential when you are already using something drying like benzoyl peroxide or a prescription treatment. Acne routines fail more often from over-drying than from being too gentle.
Use it once or twice daily on the affected areas. Give it a full sixty seconds on the skin rather than rinsing straight away, and expect four to six weeks before you can judge whether it is working.
Two things to get right alongside it. Sunscreen every morning without exception, because acne treatments make skin far more sensitive to sun and unprotected Kenyan sun is what turns a healed spot into a dark mark that lasts months. And moisturiser every night, even on oily skin.
If your breakouts are cystic or scarring, see a dermatologist. This helps, but it is not a substitute for medical treatment.
Fragrance free and non-comedogenic. Genuine CeraVe, stocked in Nairobi.
