Description
This is the cleanser we recommend more than any other, and usually to people who have been over-washing their face for years without realising it.
It is a soft cream that does not foam, and that is the point. Foaming agents strip oil, and stripped skin responds by producing more oil, which is how a lot of people end up with skin that is both dry and breaking out at the same time. This one cleans without removing anything the barrier needs.
It contains three essential ceramides plus hyaluronic acid, so it leaves the skin comfortable rather than tight. If your face stings when you apply anything after washing, that stinging usually stops within a week of switching to this.
It suits dry skin, sensitive skin, mature skin, and anyone using retinol or acids who needs their cleansing step to be as gentle as possible. It also works well as a morning cleanser for oily skin, with a stronger wash kept for the evening.
It removes sunscreen and light makeup, though for a full face of makeup use an oil cleanser first and follow with this.
