Figue Erotique smells like fig picked off the tree with the leaf still attached, then softened with coconut and warm skin musk. It is one of the more relaxed, sensual things in the Private Blend line.

The opening is green and milky at once, with fig leaf giving a fresh, almost sappy edge that keeps the coconut from turning into suncream. Underneath there is jasmine, sandalwood and a soft creamy amber that stays close to the skin.

Unlike most of the heavier Tom Fords, this one genuinely works in heat. It is the natural choice for Diani, Watamu, Malindi and any long hot day where a smoky or sweet fragrance would be unbearable. It is also excellent as a daytime unisex option in Nairobi.

Longevity is moderate rather than enormous, around six to seven hours, and the projection is intimate. That is by design. This is a fragrance meant to be discovered rather than announced.
