Everyone knows the original Acqua di Gio. It defined fresh masculine fragrance for two decades and it is still the safest bottle on any shelf. Elixir is the version for people who love that DNA but want something with more body.
The marine freshness is still there in the opening, but it fades faster into a warm, resinous heart of patchouli, vanilla and tonka. The result is darker and sweeter than anything else in the Acqua di Gio line, and it lasts considerably longer.
This matters in Kenya. Light aquatics evaporate fast in Nairobi sun and disappear almost immediately in Mombasa humidity. The resin and vanilla base here anchors the fragrance to the skin, so you get eight hours or more rather than the two or three a standard fresh scent gives you at the coast.
It works from the office through to the evening without needing a reapplication, which makes it one of the more practical premium bottles we stock. Three sprays is plenty.
