Description
Elixir is what happens when Dior takes the Sauvage everyone already knows and turns the concentration all the way up. If you have worn the original eau de toilette, this will feel familiar for about ten seconds and then go somewhere much deeper.
It opens on grapefruit and cinnamon, warm rather than fresh, and settles into liquorice, nutmeg and a thick amber base built on lavender absolute and sandalwood. There is a boozy, almost syrupy quality to the heart that the lighter Sauvages never had.
Because it is an elixir concentration, restraint matters. Two sprays is a full application. Three is generous. In Nairobi heat the projection lifts noticeably in the first hour, so what feels correct in an air-conditioned room can read as loud once you are outside at midday. Applied lightly it will still be there at the end of a long day.
This is an evening and cold-season fragrance more than a daytime one. It suits dinners, weddings, going out, and any occasion where you want to be remembered. Younger buyers gravitate to it for exactly that reason.
Sealed and authentic, stocked in Nairobi and delivered countrywide.
