Description
This is the higher-concentration Vitamin C12, formulated for skin that is starting to lose firmness as well as evenness. At 12 percent pure vitamin C it is one of the stronger stable formulations available without a prescription.
Vitamin C does two jobs here. It interrupts pigment production, which fades dark spots and evens out tone over a couple of months, and it supports collagen, which is what gradually firms the skin and softens fine lines. Salicylic acid is included to smooth surface texture and neurosensine to keep the formula tolerable on sensitive skin.
For Kenyan skin, the tone benefit usually shows first. Years of high UV exposure produce uneven pigmentation and dullness long before they produce wrinkles, and a strong vitamin C used every morning is the most reliable non-prescription answer to that.
Apply a few drops to clean dry skin in the morning, before moisturiser, and always follow with sunscreen. Vitamin C without daily SPF is largely wasted effort.
If you have not used a high-strength vitamin C before, start every other morning for two weeks. Some tingling on application is normal. Store away from heat and light, and expect the liquid to darken slightly over time.
